This is exactly what it looks like; a dark/light gray bar that controls volume through click, drag, or mousewheel.
I tried to make this as absolutely unobtrusive as possible. Editing transparency and color through the .ini should be pretty simple, but I don't really see a need. I've found that it works very well to set 80% transparency with fade-in through rainmeter. Small transparent handle underneath to drag it around.
